planning ethics experts discuss how they might respond to several proposed
scenarios.

The Transportation/Land Use Connection
The Transportation/Land Use Connection investigates the relationship that
many planners at all levels of government know, conceptually and intuitively,
exist between transportation and land use. It is a connection that should be
addressed at all levels of transportation and land-use planning. The course
provides information on how the connection works – the directions and magnitudes
of causes and effects, how it can be measured, and what the likely impacts are
of policies aimed at influencing it.
The course provides an overview of transportation and land use history;
discusses historic and currently policy; provides an understanding of the
institutional context in which transportation and land use decisions are made;
suggests policies and strategies for strengthening the transportation and land
use connection; and discusses implementation strategies.
